Considering who the athletic director is I think Hill will get a very very very long leash

Has anyone heard of Kill shopping Hill around the Big 10 as a quarterback coach?

No. Honestly that would be the best for everyone involved.

Kill needs to pull the trigger IF he didn’t have a prior relationship with Hill does anyone really think a change wouldn’t be made ?   One more year of pitiful football isn’t going to benefit anyone. Kill should go after SEMO’s coach he is someone we can afford and he has done a great job rebuilding them .  His original contract had a base salary of  only 130K .  Not sure what his salary is now since he just got a two year extension but Hill is making 175K which is 50k less than Lennon was paid so I am thinking Kill would be able to give him a nice raise and he  was the guy who Kill wanted to get the job when he left SIU for Northern.

I think Hill gets another year...it will be interesting to see if Kill forces Nick to make some changes on the defensive side of the ball. The offense by and large was not the issue this year.

Why does anyone think Kill is going to be the longterm AD or that he cares about the university?   He took SIU football from being awful to being above average.  Nothing more.  We all overvalue him.

I doubt he has the balls to finally send Hinson packing after this season.

He would have really struggled had he competed against the current conference lineup.  Definitely overvalued.

Just above average? Wrong! Even the first couple of years when the record wasn't good, we upset highly ranked teams like UNI and defending National Champion Western Kentucky. Also beat FBS Indiana and N. Illinois. Several years we were ranked #1 in the country for weeks, but got upset in the playoffs. After the first two years, pretty sure we were ranked at least in the top 10 every year. Upset #1 ranked W. Kentucky in 05. I believe they turned FBS the next year. Played N. Dak. St. once, winning 9 - 0. In Kill's last year, ranked #4. Lost to Joe Flacco and Delaware in the 3nd round of the playoffs, 20 - 17.  In Lennon's first two years (Kill's recruits) we split w. N. Dakota State, beat S. Dakota St. and N. Dakota (soon to join the MVC).

He was the Big 10 coach of the year in 2014. Heck of a coach. Those Saluki teams (after the first two years) were really good teams - Kill did a great job!

Did he over or underachieve his national ranking in postseason play?  Did he do it badly?

The true test of a coach is how well he performs when he is playing unscheduled games.
