We fell to #20 in the latest Stats FCS rankings after the SD loss.
Another big game this weekend. UNI is coming off an easy win over Missouri State, and they've won 4 of their last 5, although they've played a pretty easy conference schedule to this point.
This is probably a must win for our playoffs hopes. Hopefully the team comes out angry after the SD loss. I expect a close game, and hope we can scrap it out before the much-needed bye week next weekend.

Hope the dawgs prove me wrong but this is the time of year the wheels have been coming off the bus. Disappointing effort last week on both sides of the ball.
I’m calling this a must win game or the season will end after the Youngstown game. Need a good crowd.
Good article about our playoffs outlook.

Have to win this. If they don’t, I could see a win over Youngstown and a close(ish) loss to NDSU and complaining if they get left out of the playoffs.
Felt the same way about Seth Greenberg going on ESPN and whining about Virginia Tech Basketball being left on the wrong side of the bubble every year. If you don’t like it, don’t constantly put yourself on the bubble.
This is about a MUST win as you can get if they want to make the playoffs.
Salukis will be about a 2.5 to 4-point favorite.
If we can get a few fellows back from injuries, I think it may help. UNI is also thinking about playoffs so it will be a tough grind Saturday. A Saluki victory and we are 6-3 overall, but more importantly 5-1 in the best FCS conference. Get healthier over the bye week, and then have a great week of preparation for those boys from Fargo.
FWIW: Massey has SIU with #9 SOS.
Get a victory Dawgs on Saturday, and prove the doubters wrong!
GO DAWGS!
We win two of the last three we are guaranteed to get a bid. Massey has us at #12 and winning by3 over #24 UNI. Winning at YSU (with their excellent RB) will not be easy, but if we play like we were before last week's turd, we could win out and maybe even get a seed.
4-win UNI has to win out - here, at USD, and home vs SDSU to have a chance to get in.
5-win Redturds have to win two of YSU, NDSU away, or SDSU away to have 7 wins. Not likely but possible. I would hate to see the SpackChickens get in.
4-win UND has an excellent chance to get 7 wins with home games against Abilene and USD and away games at Ind St and NDSU.
If the Valley has five 7 win teams, I still think only four get in.
Our QB and receivers have to show up. Too many inaccurate and too many dropped passes last week.
Cloudy and in the high 60s Saturday. Go Dawgs!
@salukiworld Any idea what that's about? I'm watching GameDay now, but don't really feel like tuning in for the entire segment. Are they going to announce they're coming to Carbondale for the NDSU game in two weeks? 😜
Logan Minton will be in the house today.

Apparently they featured our Blackout Cancer uniforms for today's game. These are pretty sweet.

Hmmm. Attendance is gonna take a bit of a hit today with the first round of the H.S. playoffs going on.
Carterville, Johnston City, Benton and Sesser with home day games. Marion, Mt Vernon and Harrisburg on the road.

I’ve got 2 chairbacks tickets that I can give away through text if anyone here wants them. Can’t make this one.
The Dawgs have to win this one. If they lose they're likely out of the playoff picture. Last week was a big disappointment. We need a full on 40 minutes of good football on both sides of the ball today if SIU is going to get the win.
SIU has to settle for a 20 yard field goal at their own goal line on their opening drive
