A little surprised to hear Reis bring up the topic of Hill moving on to a higher paying FBS job.

Hill's response was pretty great. He's not looking for the next best thing.

This season was a disappointment, but I still have faith in him.

@saluki44 not a suprising question considering that Hill was offered a OC position at a power 5 school last year

Don't you think Nick will be here until, at least, his girls are grown?  When you hear him speak, I get the impression that the quality of life for his family is more important than money.

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

Yet another great interview done by Mr. Reis.

I believe in Coach Hill as well Saluki44. He is a 37 year old who is still evolving as a head coach. To be fair, there are areas that warrant improvement. I hope he can find someone with experience and knowledge to replace Coach Poore.

He sounded sincere when discussing the FBS job possibility. I believe that he realizes there is a tremendous amount of pressure/stress etc. at that level. Money can not buy one happiness. He can coach at SIU, and the FCS level without those annoyances. SIU is first and foremost a basketball school. Having a winning football program is a added bonus, but obviously is not the financial windfall that SEC, BIG12, ACC, or BIG Schools experience. This being said, I wish I was watching the Saluki football team today, as well as basketball.

GO DAWGS!!!

I believe coach Hill will be here as long as the school wants him never thought he was leaving it was a legitimate question from Reis is all I was saying and Nick's dedication to the program is unmeasureable and him stating that fact is good for recruiting and stability

Nick grew up here, his parents live here, and he's happy here. Loves to hunt and fish, etc... Best part of the state and no DirtyDales live here, thankfully. LOL

Who knows four years from now after we win a National Championship?

Go Dawgs!!

Big offseason news here. Petrino spent about as long in Springfield I expected him to, but I didn't expect him to leave for just an FBS coordinator position.

Tough news for MSU fans.

Not surprised, except by the destination.

Sorry to see this. He wore the jersey I bid on during the blackout cancer game. Seemed like a very nice young man. He is a talented safety that missed most of the last several games due to injuries. I doubt he gets drafted, but would love to see him get a chance in an NFL camp.

@salukiworld I'm sort of surprised to see that. Javon technically had one more year, right?

Good luck to Williams - what a fun player! He has such a versatile skill set that I wouldn't be shocked to see him latch on as a fullback, tight end or just special teamer. Don't think he's fast enough to succeed as a regular back at the NFL level.
