Newbie here. Anyone have a season preview of Saluki football?
Are the schools from Dakota still really good?
Yes on the Dakotas.

Glad to have you here @SalukiWilson
North Dakota State and South Dakota State are two of the best teams in FCS and the Valley is the top conference in FCS.
It will be very difficult to crack the playoffs but I think we have a chance. South Dakota, UNI, ISU will all be tough. I'm probably missing someone in the mix.
We have to improve our mental game and eliminate the dumb mistakes and penalties. @footballdad is your best bet here for a good read on our prospects.
HeroSports.com has us with two of the top five returning receivers in the MVFC. Raphael Leonard at four and Darrell James at one. https://herosports.com/fcs/football-mvfc-wide-receivers-darell-james-bzbz
Also has Sam Straub as number 5 for returning qb's. https://herosports.com/fcs/football-mvfc-quarterbacks-easton-stick-bzbz
We're going to be fun to watch on offense this year. Defense?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Check out the article on college traditions. SIU is #10 with touching the Pyramid of Tut.
“The best thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores.”

This is the year SIU needs to take a step up. Hill is in his 3rd year and mainly has an entire team of his recruits.

I googled "best traditions" and "10 best....", etc., and kept coming up with bunches of hits covering all types of traditions at the semi-pro football programs. No mention of SIU - or any brethren - in the lot.
