Is chinn hurt ???
Is chinn hurt ???
No, he's been playing most of the game. He's been coming out in dime packages.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
A State is too much for the Salukis and the Salukis haven't helped themselves in the red zone. Hopefully DJ Davis is able to bounce back from his injury but he looked like he was in a lot of pain when they took him off the field. Not good!
We played well for stretches...in the end too many points left on the field. 4 trips inside the 15 with zero points. Combination of bad play calling and not executing (Javon rollout on 4 and 1 and the dropped touchdown by Elliot were killers). Defense struggled quite a bit with limiting big plays and our CB’s were torched.
Losing DJ was a big blow, but we struggled all night with the six inches between the ears. We weren't beaten by a clearly superior FBS team... we lost a winnable game. Some very poor decisions and turnovers killed us
As much as it stinks to see this one slip away, I am encouraged as we enter MVFC play. While I don't see us threatening NDSU, this won't be a repeat of Nick's first three seasons. Barring a metric ton of injuries, we won't be a bottom tier team.
Considering how bad UMass is proving to be, a 2-2 nonconference is pretty blah.
The red zone execution is lacking, the Davis injury is a concern and the defense just isn’t good enough. There are some nice pieces here and there but I’m concerned it’s going to be another tough go for Hill and Co. in conference play.
I think this team wins 3 more games
Good offense 526 yds to 474 yds!
Bad Defense!
Mistakes: int - dropped pass!
I'm encouraged - thinking we can win a game or two in the MVC I didn't originally think we could.
UMass appears to be worse than most FCS teams. Might be one of the worst FBS teams of all time.
That is the most frustrating loss of my invested teams at any level of football in quite a long time for me.
Four trips in the red zone and instead of giving it to the thoroughbred, we’re rolling out and passing a fade on 2nd and goal? I’m all for keeping the D on their toes, but for the love of god we’re overthinking ourselves here.
Everyone was pissed. I was pissed. Dad was pissed. Even Mom was pissed! At least the Dominos pizzas were good, I guess.
South Dakota St will be our toughest test yet. Gotta think they would take care of Arkansas St pretty fairly and UMASS would circle the drain in the MVFC standings (not to take anything away from a road win, just my opinion.)
C’mon Dawgs! Let’s get em next week!
Both Chinn and Davis were injured the game. When I watched the replay of Davis's arm injury it looked really bad.
Davis out 2 to 6 weeks with dislocated elbow.
A really classy move by the University of Georgia at their game with Arkansas State on 9/14. Georgia honored Blake Anderson's wife who recently passed away.
Then Georgia dropped 55 on them.
RIP
