Give ‘em hell Nick.  I’d play, or want my son to play for you, any day.  It’s not always about wins / losses.  You give your word and then you teach your players to keep it. Good man!

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

Sucks for the coaches, players, and community but I don't mind SIU not playing on Saturday.  Go into the Fall healthy and ready to go.  That being said, I'm glad SIU wasn't the ones that quit and like Hill stepping up for his players.  They have a right to be pissed when two other teams quit on them after an agreed season.

I don't blame NH. Redturd St. and the Rubbernecks are having really bad years...that's the real reason IMO. Western didn't want to come down here and get their booty whipped! Is it possible we could still get in the playoffs with a 4 - 3 record?

They're behind Missouri State in the pecking order who won't get in either.  They'd need a lot of teams to have COVID outbreaks to get in.

Time for summer workouts and time to build on the good wins and learn from the bad losses.

I have spoken with several people involved with Central Illinois high school football. There is a unanimous feeling of disgust with the Turds and Western. General opinion is they were not winning so they quit. A couple coaches actually said they would steer their kids away from those schools in the future.  One coach whose team is not good ever said his kids line up every week knowing they have no chance. They still put in the work and show up on game day. We don’t allow our kids to quit no matter what.

this  may have a bigger reach than anybody thought. A couple of these programs have sent several kids to D-1

This is why I love Hill stepping up for his players.  If I'm Hill and his staff and I'm recruiting against the Redturds and Western Illinois, I'm using this as ammo against them.  It would make sense if the Turds and Western Illinois had COVID problems and they couldn't play but to just quit because you had no chance at the playoffs is horses**t.

Could a win over #19 get the Salukis in the tournament?

Highly unlikely, they'd need a bunch of teams to get COVID.  Missouri St would be ahead of them in the pecking order.

@salukiworld prolly correct I was just thinking both teams would have to think a win will get them in the conversation, you think?

They beat us on a last second FG at their place - we have a more impressive win - against a team that beat them 25 - 0. Hope YSU beats them and SEL beats Nichols, then we beat SEL!
