Our run defense is the best we've had in a long time! We seemed afraid to run the ball on offense. We only ran it 15 times, but our Rb's averaged almost 6 yards a carry! Great picks, love to see the TO's. We have speed on defense we haven't had in the past. O line seems improved too. If our offense can catch up to our defense, look out!
I completely misjudged the outcome of this game. Figured it would have have been high scoring. That’s the best Defense I have seen SIU play in decades. Those transfers were awesome. Especially the dude from EIU.
On the other hand, the offensive play calling was a tad questionable, especially towards the end of the game.
Oh well…a win is a win.
It’s still early, but all of us who doubted Baker and Hill appear to have been wrong. This team isn’t the one we saw stumble at the end of the season. I’m shocked at the defense, in particular. Antonio James seems to be one we need to hold onto.
