We've played with a lot more urgency and pop today. Been disciplined - no dumb penalties.

Stone has played well - has a knack for making plays - like that little sidearm pass to Elliott which put us on their 3 yd. line. He's something like 17 - 24, no ints!

Also, SEMO has a way better O line (and team) than UMass. UMASS is way worse than I expected. They lost 48 -21 to the worst Big 10 team - Rutgers, who got clobbered 30 - 0 to Iowa today. Of those 21, one was a Rugers mistake.

Sagarin has SEMO ranked 21 spots ahead of UMASS.

SIU leads 45-13

give the staff and players a lot of credit for this one.  after last week, things could have gone south quickly.  appears impossible to guess what lies ahead, but mrs. bobber has a smile on her face as she knows i won't be miserable to live with this week.  today, i am a very happy, handsome man.

GO DAWGS!

We needed a win like this to get this program some momentum. Plus we got paid to do it. A good day to be a Saluki.

Great win for the guys! Maybe the Saints stopping by this week helped? I saw a lot of good things in that first half against SEMO...maybe we’re more THAT team than the second half team from SEMO?

go dawgs!

Bow Em

FYI:  I found the article (linked below) when researching how our $25K pay-day came to be.

Maine at Liberty, Oct. 19; Southern Illinois at Massachusetts, Sept. 7; and Massachusetts at Rutgers, Aug. 30: Maine is getting a $300,000 guarantee for the game against Liberty, but it is being paid by Massachusetts.

Under originally planned schedules, according to UMass AD Ryan Bamford, Liberty was set to play Southern Illinois and pay SIU no guarantee, while UMass was set to play Maine and pay a $300,000 guarantee. When scheduling issues developed for Liberty and UMass, the four schools agreed to trade opponents and dates. As part of the arrangement, UMass not only agreed to absorb the guarantee to Maine, it also agreed to pay $25,000 to SIU to help cover its travel costs.
