Keeping in the Valley, did you see Youngstown State beat Western Illinois 59-14.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Wish we start the season over!!! Don't know where this team has been, but I sure like what I'm seeing!

Remember in the first game of the season, Nick hadn't figured out how to use Williams yet. And Petrino (mancrush) hadn't figured out his rotations. But figuring out the strengths of your team throughout the season is what a good coaching staff does.

Lol SIU gonna go into final game having to win and make playoffs only to face NDSU
If we win the next three, and we should, we'll be 7 - 4 (with an FBS win) when we play NDSU. A good
showing against them and we can make the playoffs... but we need UNI to lose at Redturds and at SDSU.
Better yet would be for the Redturds to lose at SDSU and YSU.
If all this happens, we'd have the same record as UNI, 7 - 5, but with an FBS win. That should get us in!
Man, that was impressive! Saluki Football has become eminently watchable for the first time in many years.
7 wins would get Hill an extension I believe and if he pulls it off, I wouldn’t be mad about it. We have a good senior class but lots of young talent out there. Just imagine if we had a legit QB. Still wish we could have that SEMO game back as they haven’t turned out to be that good. Also probably should’ve beat ISUred. Those were two teams we should’ve beat. If we win out (save NDSU) and won those two games, we win 9 games.

SEMO is tied for 2nd in the OVC at 3 - 1 - just beat Tenn. Martin (who's in first) and beat Jacksonville St. last week. They're pretty good and still have a good shot at the playoffs with four games left that they should win. That said, we should have beaten them.
Also agree we played like sh*t against the Redturds. Look like a different team since then. Our D appears to have improved a lot since then, playing like honey badgers with a toothache!
I agree if we can finish with 7 wins, Hill should get his last contract year to see what he can do. Dawgs are looking really good everywhere except QB. Not crazy about K.L. Even when he completes a pass, it's usually not on the money. We are fortunate to have a couple of very good receivers in Cox and Lenoir. It's good to have D.J. Davis back too - he's always a threat to break one and makes a big difference!
There are things that are looking seriously up, and in surprised to see myself posting that because I really didn't think the Nick Hill experiment was working out. But somehow this D has come together despite an anemic D-line. The O has come together without a QB.
Even if we finish with only five wins, the arrow seems to be pointing more up than down.
I don't know: maybe the bar was set so low in my mind that anything less than disaster seems like a victory?
If we finish above .500, I guess that's progress worthy of an extension; it's certainly better than I thought we'd do.

And Norte Dame got smoked. What a great day

They sure did get smoked. It infuriates me that they are still ranked #16 despite that beatdown.
