...$525,000.00 dollars, according to:
https://fbschedules.com/southern-illinois-play-at-illinois-2026
(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”
Will SIU be closed by then?
Will SIU be closed by then?
😕
Will SIU be closed by then?
Nope! I think SIU will be at their 18,500 goal on enrollment.....if they make it a focus and can get competent leadership in place.
That being said, Randy Dunn, has to be the worst president in SIU's history. Should have never got the job.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the way things have been going it seemed like a fair question.

1. Is it a 'fair question' to ask whether the first part of your sentence is true or not?!
2. Found this link, too:

...South Bend is, what, about 200 miles further from Carbondale (than Urbana)? I wonder if SIU would qualify as an opponent for Notre Dame? Now that would a worthy road trip.

Dunn not just bad but downright criminal - purposely withheld recruiting funds because he was mad that Montemagmo publicly stated he didn't think Edwardsville should get the $5.1 million. I guess the BOT can't do anything since they signed off on getting rid of the scum. Would love to see the Alumni Association or someone with standing sue this dirty b'stard.
Records show Dunn didn’t approve ‘critical’ recruitment funds for SIUC
Seems SIU doesn't get as much as some FCS schools on their beatdown payouts. E. Washington got $450K from Oregon State.
Wait, isnt $525k more than $450k?
I know i did goto SIU Engineering, but i think my math is right.
Missed that! That's great. Thought it was more like $280K last time - maybe that was at Memphis. Did a little digging and we get $500K to play at Wisconsin. (NIU got over a million last time they played up there.) Got $450K at Ole Miss. I do believe last time we played at Illinois we got far less.

$450k today translates to $800k in 2026 though. This does seem a little low to me.

http://www.in2013dollars.com/2018-dollars-in-2026?amount=450000&future_pct=0.06
According to these calculators, it will be worth 549k. 800k was a good guess though. Even with 6% inflation, 720k. Next time, bring facts not conjecture.
Regular inflation doesn't always correlate to guarantee of college football games though. We collected $285,000 for our game last year and $450,000 for this year. That $165,000 difference is more than inflation. Illinois is probably happy to secure a game at this price in the future for only 525k.
