Does everyone else encounter an ad that they have to manually close to see the messages on nearly every thread on the site?
I have this problem on mobile and my iPad and am not sure if the problem is specific to those devices.
There is a thread in the off-topic section that I can’t even read because I’m unable to get rid of the ad, despite repeatedly trying to close it out.
@saluki44 I'm getting the ads too and some of them have what appears to be chinese characters, not that I would know chinese writing if I saw it. Some of them you can't just x out of or close so I just go back and don't read the post.
I’ve always found this website challenging. Just staying logged in is a PITA. The new pop-up ads make the site almost unusable on my iPhone. Windows pop-up and take over the browser. To be honest, it is making me avoid the website.
I really wish I could turn the ads off. At this time I just can’t. Without the ads there would be no website. I’m sorry it is inconvenient I really wish I could stop them.
@barkeep-1967 I don’t mind the ads, but these new ones make the site virtually unreadable on my iPhone. I still use PC from time to time, but not as often as I prefer.
If there was anything I could do I would. I hate the add. Honestly without them at this point there would be no board. I am so sorry and hopefully a day comes when I can just turn them off
