Pretty big loss for the mall. Surprised this is the theater in town they chose to close
Most people prefer the one across the street that has big recliners and beer.

I didn’t realize they renovated that theater. I’m kind of surprised they went with that one over the nice location in the mall although it was in the back in a bad spot for traffic compared to the one in the strip mall
Mall traffic nationwide is way, way down and has been heading that way for many years. Strip shopping centers are much more popular, along with online shopping. I don’t know how the Marion Mall keeps their doors open. Most all the recent stores have moved to shopping centers in town.
The theater needed to be close. University theater by Walmart is way way better, most people go there anyway, and the mall one was not even getting many showings of the block buster movies at this point. No big loss.
Well that kinda sucks. I prefer stadium seating to those recliners. Even though the recliners are more comfortable, it drives me nuts with people constantly moving up and down in the recliners. Oh- and the price difference, that's a bit of a detractor.

Seating is so limited at recliner theaters though. I wouldn’t want to live in a town where any time there is a big release I have to worry about trying to get a seat
