Marco must love this. It took all of the attention away from him.
The BOT has called another special meeting for this Friday. They will vote on a motion to suspend Dunn and appoint an interim.
It's time.
The BOT is gutless, see the refusal to take a strong stand on what the legislature is doing. Furthermore, these were the same people who signed Dunn to an expensive extension they now choose to buy out.
If the BOT fires Dunn the whole lot need to fall on the sword and the Governor needs to appoint a new board. Which, to be honest, I would rather see the next Governor do that.

We absolutely do NOT want this governor appointing any more board members. Waiting for the next gov is just fine with me!
Craving a McBride Special!

It went away?
He has to know a new Pres who didn’t appoint him would have more scrutiny. Not to mention a new governor is going to appoint different people to the BOT. Things could also be getting unstable for him, too.
Still waiting for word that Dunn has been fired. Let's go folks. SIU can't afford to wait any longer to start getting this university back on the right track. Dunn is toxic and by most accounts worthless. If SIU does nothing in this scenario more of the same will continue. How bad does it need to get before competent leadership is installed at SIU?
What SIU needs is a retired politician with a lot of contacts.
No joke, Dr. Roger Herrin, former trustee, came on WJPF and floated the rumor that Poshard would be coming back. If true...we are in even deeper 🤮 than I had originally thought.

I wouldn't be surprised if Poshard was named the interim president while the board searches for a permanent candidate.

Sholar says the board doesn't have the authority to suspend Dunn.
This looks like a battle between Carbondale members and Edwardsville members.
SIUE Faculty Senate is now circling the wagons for Dunn. Oops.

Yup; and this is turning into a real custerphluck.
Go Dawgs!
