We are there a couple of weeks ago. I got the Harvey special. Maybe I misremember what it used to be. It was really soggy.

@mr_woogers You expect a local sandwich shop to compete with a national chain on prices with coupons? Come on man. That’s why local places like this will never survive.

Then a year from now, when they close, you can complain that all that’s left in Carbondale anymore is garbage chain restaurants.

If you like a local spot, spend the few extra dollars occasionally to support them. If not, I guess enjoy your Subway/JJ b/c that’s all you’ll have left

I live here and obviously support a lot of local businesses.

I don't Expect anything. Would love to see Boobys make it. Just stating a fact. That's a 7 inch sub for $12, more if you pay with a credit card. My son had one and said it was good. (I try to avoid processed meats - actually very unhealthy) And if a local business charges a bit more, I get it. But if they're charging $14 for a burger (The Underground) or a Gyro (Pita Alley), they better be good or people probably won't be visiting often.

That said, the big chains are quite expensive nowadays also, and from what I've read, their higher prices mean fewer customers.

Haven't eaten at a Subway in literally years or at Jimmy Johns in more years, other than trying a dried up churro a couple of months ago at Subway - awful.
