Really confusing why a kid would pay his own way to come to a specific school, and then that school not even be on his table of options at the time his choice would start paying off. I trust the info on here. It's just a head-scratching situation.
We were told there were multiple reasons and grades could be a problem
For what it’s worth, if you look at Jimmy’s Instagram “stories” he’s playing at the arena daily. He’s there as early as 5am and as late as midnight. Seems like he’s putting in a lot of work and not just anyone can workout at the arena whenever they want to? Probably means nothing except the fact that he wants to improve his game but worth noting.

So, if he's playing ball all day, is it a wonder there may be grade problems?

Are there tudors available to the athletes at no cost to them? I can't believe that has been discontinued. If this program remains in place, it might not be a bad idea for somebody introduce the kid to one of these tudors. Probably should introduce him to his professors first. Doesn't sound like he sees them enough to know who they are.

He’s not under scholarship, I doubt he has access to tutors unless he pays.

With his uncle as asst. coach, I can't believe he wasn't allowed in the room. The over use of tudors is not normally something the NCAA looks at.

Jimmy wants to play pro ball some day. It's no surprise that he is putting in the hours to improve his game.

I can see where playing for Bryan would help that, should Mullins bring his level of dedication to the coaching as he had playing he will help kids who work hard excel everywhere they can.

All SIU students have access to tutors. There’s a fee already included with tuition. But if he’s not under scholarship or officially on the roster then I assume he wouldn’t have access to the tutors specifically assigned to athletes. But he does have access to tutors within his chosen academic program.

My response was to daddio’s statement about tutors being available to athletes at no cost. Of course they are available to scholarship athletes but not to Jimmy. That was my only point.
When did the MVC change its name to the Southwest Missouri Valley Conference? I guess I was asleep at the switch again.

Never said it was perfect 😬
Darius answered a question on instagram this morning saying "you will be fine with or without me."... that does not sound promising for his return.
someone said "please don't leave us" and that is how he responded.
With the caliber of players Bryan is going after, I believe him. Of course, I'd like the Beane's to be on the roster next year, but I'm no longer worried either way. SIU will be just fine.
