Conference schedule being changed to 4 home series and 4 road series with back-to-back games with the same team. Then, there will be a home-and-home with the travel partner. Schedule to be released in December.

Is our travel partner Evansville?

Could be Missouri State really with Evansville taking Indiana State and Loyola getting Valpo. Missouri State is kind of off in no-mans land.
It's Missouri State in the past for the women. Evansville goes with Indiana State.
I feel like there's a higher chance of injury playing back to back games on the weekend.
This is going to be a blood bath and will come down to those Home-Home match ups.

This year’s Valley champion will need to have an asterisk next to its name in the record books. The schedule change is necessary given the world we live in, but the back to back nights thing makes it so hard to get a fair crack at a team twice in a season compared to normal years. If your best player tweaks an ankle on a Thursday, then he’s now out for two first-place showdowns with the league leader. Compared to normal years where you would have several weeks to get him back with easier games mixed in before having to play that matchup again. COVID outbreaks will also make this kind of scheduling tough because of the same thing. If someone goes into quarantine, they now miss two games. I applaud the move and see what the MVC is doing here, but luck will have to be in favor of whoever wins the league this year.
Just announced a back to back in Carbondale against North Dakota on 12/17 and 12/18:

I know we would have had a game with Louisville if not for the COViD setback but this non conference schedule at this point is a joke. As it stands now, the SEMO game is probably by far the toughest on our schedule and we could be in trouble when conference play starts (if it does) as we’ll be less tested than everyone else in the league.
Nice. Hope we get a few more before MVC.
March on triumphantly!

Murray State is perennially good. And things are likely to continue to change as we go on. I'm surprised we're not playing Saint Louis, seems like an easy game to get in for both schools.

Murray State got beat by 17 by Middle TN. The only other two games by MT were losses to Omaha and East TN. Murray is usually good but they don’t look to be this year. (And don’t point out their win against Greenville. Even IL State put up 177 points against this team)

For God's sake don't tell Murray fans they aren't any good. They have had problems in the anemic OVC since Belmont joined, but they think they would dominate MVC. I hope IL State thumps them.
