Michigan also looked outstanding today, more like their pre-covid pause form where they looked almost unbeatable. On the same side of the bracket as Zags.
I think Baylor vs Mich. or Zags. Those are the 3 outstanding teams left. Michigan vs Zags could be a great game. Michigan's size inside is very tough to handle and they have very good guards.
Would not be surprised to see any of those 3 win it all.
Also impressed with USC...lot of talent there.
Something I’ve been floating around in my head the last week...
...I wonder if this transfer-crazy era in college basketball will last or not. I mean, I could very well see it as a fad experiment that will wear itself thin. D2 and low-major stars being signed by the mid-majors, mid-major kids being poached by P5 schools. We’ve all noted, even with our own Saluki players, the adjustment period that comes with stepping up a “level.” I’m just wondering if, in 10-20 years or so, coaches will be of the mindset that using a scholarship on a high school kid will be more more beneficial for their program. Even the Calipari’s of the college basketball world, who run eight-month pump-and-dump experiences, will find that they’d rather sign a high school All-Americans than a Davidson grad transfer.
In any case, the transfer era sucks ass so maybe it more wishful thinking that anything on my part.
I think this will be the only free transfer year though
Gonzaga dominates yet again. Reminds me of the 2018 Villanova team that just rolled through the tournament

I think they're a lot better. They have guys sitting on the bench that would be starting at most places.

Right. They have 4 guys on the bench who average less than 5 minutes a game that were top 100 recruits
UCLA beats Michigan in an ugly one. Gonzaga is currently favored by 14.5 against UCLA. Crazy.
Missouri is losing most of it's players to transfer. Not good news for the Tigers. I've heard rumblings that Aaron Cook may be headed there next year for his extra year in order to have a bigger role. I also heard SLU is a possibility. Cook is from the St Louis area.

If Zags lose Suggs, Ayayi, and Kispert I think there might be a pretty good role for Cook there next year. They won't really have many other PG's on the roster

Yes, but I hear there are other factors involved. I wouldn't expect him to return to Gonzaga next year.
Former Saluki Commit Demarius Jacobs is transferring from SLU.

And those factors are super double secret?? LOL
He made a 3 in their game against USC! Also took an elbow to the noggin! Not getting much playing time on this talented team.
If anybody saw the Michigan game, they sucked, especially their big guys - just awful. I think we have to say the Big 10, although they looked impressive at times this year and have some great individual talent, was overrated! Two best teams in the tournament were Michigan and Rutgers!
Gonzaga will destroy UCLA I think, unless they have a really off shooting night!
Gonzaga-Baylor Championship game could be interesting! Gonzaga's offense is a well-oiled machine!!
Stunned by this. Miller was supposed to be the future at Illinois

He was one of their best against Loyola, started every game as a freshman. With Dosunmu gone, he'd be the focal point. Not happy there for some reason.
Illinois Mr. Basketball 2020.
