I have lived in Atlanta since 1984 and have followed Georgia Tech since the Bobby Cremins and Mark Price days and am happy to see them back in the tournament picture and a pretty sure lock at this point. Moses Wright who is the POY in the ACC this year is a really good story. Didn't start playing basketball until his Jr. year in HS and was a no star recruit. He has worked really hard and has become a terrific player. Great kid, great work ethic. They are very solid this year and even if they don't win the ACC, and they do have a chance to, they can make some noise in the tournament.

Pretty good day for Drake today. SMU and Seton Hall lost and should be out. Ole Miss lost and also should be out, but I wouldn't put it past the committee to give them a bid. Maryland and Rutgers lost and are back on the bubble, but probably on the right side of the bubble due to BCS bias. Drake needs Memphis and Oregon State to lose tomorrow. If that happens I think they should be in decent shape ahead of selection Sunday.

I think it really is a 50/50 bet as to whether Drake gets a bid when the brackets are announced in 45 minutes or so. Jerry Palm has Drake as the 2nd team out and Lunardi has them as 2nd to last team in. In my opinion they have the resume and should be in with a 45 net. If Duke, Syracuse or Ole Miss get in ahead of them I'm going to be pissed!
