Seems like the Southern Indiana series is going to be a multiple home/1 away (this year) series.

That would be good. Had that been announced anywhere or just a hunch?

For what it's worth, Indiana State is also going to Southern Indiana.  Guessing they're paying something to get decent games there for their first D1 season and they're probably home and homes or even home and 2 roads.

But man, this schedule is really looking rough.  Especially if there's a D2 home game coming.  If SIU isn't adding a decent home or road game, this schedule is going to be much worse than last year.

Heard today that the Schedule is done should be out this weak.  There is a caveat in it that fans will like 👍 It is nothing surprising Bryan Mullins promised it way back in early summer.

Hope that "weak" is not code for bad.

March on triumphantly!

The schedule will be out in the next week or two or three. Some will be surprised, some will be indifferent, and some will be surprised then indifferent. We will play basketball games against other schools. We will win some of those games and we will lose some of those games, which will make some happy and others sad. Please keep in mind we are a mid-major during this season.

Go Dawgs!

The men's basketball schedule on the Saluki website now shows home games against Lincoln University (Dec. 13) and Chicago State (Dec. 16), as well as the previously mentioned Southern Indiana road game. With all due respect to McFly, wouldn't want to be the marketing folks trying to get butts in the seats for this home non-con schedule.

Now this is legit!  Bad schedule this year, but next year with Oklahoma State and SLU being here will be pretty legit.

The reported Oklahoma State deal is fantastic considering a home game next year as part of the deal.

The noncon home schedule, though, is pure cringe, for the second straight year, which is why I was so alarmed when I saw the Saint Louis game was on the road, contrary to what had been previously reported.

Overall, there are just too many games against likely bottom-third of D-I opponents. Even if Southern had a really, really good year and somehow was flirting with the bubble, can you imagine the talking heads having a field day going over some of those non-con opponents? That four-game stretch in December of Alcorn State, Lincoln, Chicago State and at SEMO might be the worst four-game stretch of schedule I can remember for the program.

OK State is a great get. That should be a pretty hot ticket next year.

Excellent add by Coach Mullins in Oklahoma State for the next three years. SLU and OSU at Banterra in 2023 will be really sweet tea. For those that want to critique/criticize our schedule this year, three questions for you.

1. How many of you are season ticket holders?

2. How many Power 5's or good mid majors are willing to assist a mid major program that is building, and has potentially one of it's best teams in years?

3. How many of you have played, coached, or scheduled games at the D1 level?  Coach Mullins has, and I have complete confidence in him because of this. Trust the process.

God Bless You All, and see you at Banterra!

GO DAWGS!
