Did anyone see any of our bigs in these? I see Newton, Banks, Wonders, Domask, and D’Amico in plenty of pictures. No Jones or bigs that I saw.
Rupert was out there in the videos. Didn’t see any other bigs really. Lot of Wonders, Banks, Domask, AJ Ferugson.
I had one child graduate from 'Bama. Anyone planning to attend with questions about logistics, et al pls feel free to ping me.
50/50 chance I will be able to make the scrimmage, myself.
If you can figure out how to get tickets, other than driving five hours and hoping to get tickets, please let me know. I have searched and searched the internet, called Alabama Athletics, and even called Foster Auditorium where game is to be played. At least I called the number listed for the auditorium, wound up talking to the gift shop of a hospital in Tennessee!
Tickets will be available on official SIU athletic site per announcement by our site.
Leave Southern Illinois around 7am, back home by 11pm on a Saturday. Sounds very interesting!

I just spoke to the ticket office. Everything is running through Alabama. So much for that.

According to their 247 board (behind a paywall), reports were that Kansas State won by 8-10 points. One of them heard they held SIU in the 50's.
Again, not sure how much I take from scrimmages. Alabama is going to be a really tough test on Saturday, but hopefully they come out of them healthy and it better prepares them for the start of the schedule.
So conversely speaking, we held them to the 60’s! Go Dawgs.

I was there tonight. I learned absolutely nothing as far as who will get playing time and who will start. I can confirm 3 things though.
1. The obvious. Domask is still our best player, and its not close.
2. It is an absolute joy to watch Foster Wonders shoot the ball. I hope his overall game is good enough to keep him on the floor. Lightning fast release.
3. Jones is not participating in practice at the moment, as Barkeep said he didn't play at K State either.
I was there tonight. As we might expect, defense looks to be ahead of offense. I mostly watched the inside players because that competition is really interesting. Muila didn't play. Ebube, Rupert and Hornecker all had their moments that they looked really good but there were also a few missed passes. I think all of them have the potential to be very good. Domask was Domask, definitely our best player. Xavier Johnson is going to be a really good point guard. I think it will be a fun year.
