What do we know about next year's schedule?
My biggest concerns are the two home games against Oklahoma State and Saint Louis.
Are both of those games for sure locked in by contract?
Other than that, no complaints here.

They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
Where is our MTE and against whom?
I am assuming we're supposed to have at least Oklahoma St., SLU, SEMO and So. Indiana (we owe them one) at home. Anybody else?
Are we taking a money game?

I think it will depend on the roster, but I think he should take a money game or try to find another 2 for 1 with a Power 6 conference. Not knowing what the MTE looks like, that would give them 3 games that will likely be against top 100 NET teams plus whatever you get from your MTE.
If, as has been discussed, this is a make or break year for Mullins and staff, he needs a solid non-con to give them a shot at an at large birth in the NIT/NCAA.
@siu_2011 I think we can pump the breaks on make or break year for Mullins, unless this season is an epic fail I think he will get year 6. The addition of Howard suggests to me there is a bit more security than was indicated a month or so ago.
As someone wrote, a lot depends on the transfers that this staff is able to bring in. If we had to schedule TODAY, I would say they would need to really step back bc it isn't in the school's best interest to lose 20 games. If, however, they are able to land some difference making transfers, then I am all for testing the team early and often. We already have a decent base schedule. Again, schedule to the talent IMO (to a point of course).
I think this “schedule “ thread is about to go in a different direction than intended.

OSU and SLU are contracted but SLU is talking about cancelling. I don't know if they have made a decision.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is Saint Louis allowed to cancel on us if they are under contract?
Do we get a later home date against them in another year in exchange or something?
If schools can just cancel, I can think of a couple turds on SIU’s schedule I would like them to cancel.

If they pay us 200k, I’d let them push the game back a year

I do believe that OSU is a three game series, two in Stillwater, and one in the Dirty Dale. If they were TO break said contract, they would need to pay a large compensation to SIU, and OSU would also need to locate two opponents.
SLU has cancelled their away game at SIU numerous times. It's time they honor their contract, and accept their due beatdown at Banterra Center.
GO DAWGS!!!
It's not the first time they have done this. I imagine they pay the penalty to break the contract or move the game to the following season. I read about it in Post-Dispatch but I can't find the link now. I think they were trying to get in to an MTE that would kill our scheduled game.OSU and SLU are contracted but SLU is talking about cancelling. I don't know if they have made a decision.

The Indiana basketball home game that we got many years ago was because the Indiana football team backed out of their contract with us. We negotiated a basketball home game out of it, and beat them.
