Me three. College basketball is all about the money and the NCAA is at the front of the line. It will be interesting to see the data after a few years comparing graduation rates before vs after the advent of portal/NIL. The NCAA has most likely done to "student athletes" what it has done to midmajors.I hate this era of college basketball. Disgusting and literally gut-wrenching for fans every off-season.
By the way, Jerrance Howard was my "source" regarding this! Spoke to him on April 7. With him gone I would say this is no longer a sure thing. Don't mind revealing my source now that he is no longer with SIU.Ferguson and Ebube are staying. Good source on this one!
Did not see that one coming, admittedly lol

Is he officially gone? I have yet to see anything confirming the speculation.

He was removed from the roster/website.
With Hawkins being added to the staff, I would imagine they add graduate senior Zion Richardson to next year's roster. 6-4 Forward from Frisco, Texas that spent a year at Wofford. Averaged 17.7 PPG/7.2 RPG at Quincy on 42.9% FG and 33.6% 3 point.

They also have Isaiah Foster a 6-1 Sophomore Guard from Frisco, Texas that averaged 11.9 PPG on 39.1% shooting and 36% from 3.

Both are in the portal
Even with a full roster rebuild needed please limit the D2 transfers.
And before people are all like "bUT Aj FerGUsOn aND VerpPlAnCKeN!!"...generally players are D2 for a reason. AJ Ferguson went to a brand new high school and Verplancken was in Europe and this allowed them to fall between the cracks.
Unless the process picks up the pace it will be take who you can get to fill a roster and start building for next year and better find some NIL money

@quatroschallengesaluki lmao didn’t even notice that my bad
Saw Quincy play at McKendree this year. They were an average team at best, but did have a couple of players who looked good. Maybe it was these two. They had many who I questioned how they were on a D2 team. McKendree had their two best players enter the portal. One was extremely athletic and I think has signed to go to a D1 school. The other was their leading scorer who was supposedly getting looks from Bradley and Murray.
