Bama up 12 and crushing us on the boards, 21-8; Bama also only 1-8 from 3 but they're up 12.
Rebounding and TO are the story. 8 TO and a staggering-13 on the boards.
Alabama 37
SIU 27
Halftime
Banks the leading scorer with 10, Domask has 9.
Not too much other than that. 5 guys have 1 assist, the leading rebounder is 2 with Domask and D'Amico.
Salukis shot 38.5% from the field and 4-10 from 3
Down 10 at half, and looking at our bigs only Scottie and Rupert played and logged just 9 minutes (6 for Ebube and 3 for Rupert). Where's Cade? I'm guessing we played 5 guards essentially for half the first half, and seeing we got crushed on the boards I'm hoping we go big down low in the second half.
Only following the stats but I count 6 layups missed…not a good stat to see and half of them were by Scottie E.

I can't take anything away from great competition and only listening to the game but Ebube stands out as the disappointments of the first half.
I'm sure he's never faced this kind of competition so hopefully he learns from it.
Where is Muila?

Where is Muila?
No Muila or Hornecker. Muila was apparently out for the scrimmage the other day so possibly he's hurt? I don't get no Hornecker though.
Cade is now in
Alabama up 62-42 with 8:28 left. Sounds like an ugly game from SIU's perspective. Not much scoring, shooting 35% from the field (15-43). They're lucky 5 of those shots were from 3
Bright spot: AJ Ferguson is 3 for 6 in just 13 minutes
SIU shooting 8-15 from the FT line and Muila hasn't played
10 points for AJ now

Just hit another 3, has 10 points in 14 minutes
Good to see Wonders get on the board. SIU is at least keeping this somewhat respectable. Alabama has only played 8 guys and a lot of their big players have played big minutes while SIU has rotated more.
