Can't help but feeling we aren't gonna win this one. How can Jones so inconsistent. Seems like he shoots more than his share of airballs.
SIU is the #1 3 point shooting team in the MVC but feels like most of that was against the bottom of the Valley. They struggle against good defenses that have length/athleticism.
The shooting stats should swing back to average. The bad news is that Drake is shooting just as poorly.
Domask 4-7 from the field... and everyone else a combined 6-24.
Team now 2-17 from deep, and we're down two at the half. As usual, it doesn't matter how great your defense is if you're simply unable to make any shots.

That's what's been frustrating - it's not like they've been forcing up prayers to beat the shot clock. Art some point SOMEBODY has to get hot aside from Domask, or it's gonna be yet another struggle. You need an unlikely hero to come up with 12-15 points that you don't normally expect - an SVP hitting shots, or Coupet getting on a roll... somebody find a rhythm here.
Frustrating to miss so many, but it seems that many of the AM teams are struggling from three in this arena. Don't get it, nerves maybe? Lighting?

Been a heck of a chess match. Hope it doesn't come down to FTs, unless it is Marcus at the line.
A big key in the first five minutes of the second half is gonna be trying to get fouls on three Drake starters who've got two fouls apiece. You get Devries or Sturtz in foul trouble early on here, that'll keep us in this one for sure.

Watch whoever is playing D against Banks.........they are able to lay off which minimizes passing lanes, etc.
Amazing how easily Drake is scoring in this 2nd half so far.
