team needs some length added for some rim protection next year. it would make a world of difference at the defensive end.  anyway, no harm in anything this season. build on it and take a leap forward next year!

I think Muila will make a difference and Ebube can get there with practice.  Ebube is probably the recruit I'm most excited for coming in.  His size and athleticism are sorely needed.

These announcers are getting paid by Loyola!

You ride the winners...not much about SIU's game play to talk so that leaves  the obvious stuff about the Mullins/SIU/Loyola connection, how we almost beat them a week ago and our injured players.

I guess I'm dreaming bigger than a guy brought in to stretch the floor as a "big" who shot 28% from deep, can't play D and is severely overmatched at the 5.  As I said, if he comes back, he'd be a good addition off the bench, but I would prefer to have stronger, faster and better athletes myself that can lock down on the D and rebound.

I don't understand your disdain for D'Avanzo.  He was our best player today and has been SIU's "Player of the Game" three times in the closing weeks of the season.  He's a starter next year until someone takes it away from him.

Disdain is a strong word, certainly I don't hate this kid.  I actually like that he improved as the season went on, especially in the last few games.  That being said, I believe that for this team to take the next step and finish above .500 (is that asking too much?), this team will need more defense, rebounding, strength and athleticism from the F/C position, which are not D'Avanzo's strengths.  Again, if he comes back, I'll welcome him with open arms.
