Northern Illinois beats Indiana State 67-57, another brutal loss for the Valley
I would venture to say the trees 10 point loss to NET #316 Northern Illinois at home may be even worse than our 18 point road loss to NET #214 USI. Indiana State's schedule make ours look like a juggernaut. The strongest teams Indiana State has played to date are MVC teams SIU and Drake! They literally haven't played any decent teams in non con.

Just makes a home loss to them even more frustrating. Have to win those games if you're serious about competing in the Valley. Based on how SIU played against Alcorn St, Chicago St, and SEMO; it's not gonna be a fun year. The Valley is so bad though that they'll be able to have a decent season though.
A very close game for Chicago St AT Minnesota. They lose by 3 but were in the game until the very end, and actually led late.
I think if Mullins plays Rupert more in the Indiana State game we probably win. I think he has learned his lesson regarding that as since Indiana State we have gone very few minutes without either Rupert, Muila or Hornecker in the game.I would venture to say the trees 10 point loss to NET #316 Northern Illinois at home may be even worse than our 18 point road loss to NET #214 USI. This team is on a roll now. We just beat 4 Very good opponents we finally figured it out. Didn't you see how we closed out that SEMO game
can't wait for more of those inbound plays. No Salukiworld this team is going to roll through the Valley and have an awesome season. The Valley maybe a little down but that doesn't matter we are about make a run in the Valley.

Not so sure about that. NIU's coach is doing it right - VERY tough schedule - Northwestern, Ga Tech, Sam Houston, Gonzaga, VCU. They have some talent this year. Yes they shot the H out of the ball, but I think this coach might turn bball there into something decent, which hasn't been done since Tom Jorgensen and Jim Bradley beat teams like Indiana and Michigan State in the 60s/70s.
looking at all the games so far this year, i will take being 9-4 at this point. seems everyone is inconsistent, not just siu...too many examples from other games to list, but usi playing mizzou closer than illinois and the recent ups and downs of drake are a few

Illinois is a bad team right now. SIU might even be able to beat them. They have some serious internal issues. Players and coaches are not getting along. Not sure what happened, but they have fallen apart, their team chemistry is non existent.
Illinois is really struggling
Maybe it's just me, and I'm sure it is, but your countless sarcastic comments aren't very funny and are getting quite old...Oh yes Illinois would want no part of us right now . They would look at our performance in our last four games over those opponents and shutter. No Illinois wants no part of SIU right now. Maybe we will get lucky and face them in the NCAA tournament IF they make it.
We all know SIU has struggled to play complete games in their last 4 wins, yet they are indeed wins. Please get a new schtick.
So now people are going to tell me how to post? If I post negative stuff I get chastised and if I post positive stuff I get chastised. I don’t think everyone agrees that they have struggled the last four games a lot of posters have said we should accept the victories and be grateful for them and that is what I am trying to do . I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years and contribute to the SASF every year trust me I bleed maroon Go Dawgs and Merry Christmas to all Saluki Fans

You can be positive without being a sarcastic smartass.
You are right I am a smartass but what are your expectations for this program?
