Northern Iowa getting the victory over Saint Louis was fun to watch. At least the Valley will get 1 win in post season (with perhaps more of course). I knew Missouri State didn't stand a chance so it was nice to get a victory for the valley.

Drake *should* win the CBI. Not much competition in that Tournament, they should have been in the NIT.

I do not consider the CBI or new tourney to be even close to the same level as the NIT or NCAA, mind you that's my opinion. Speaking of opinions, I also disagree that Drake deserved an NIT bid. They got beat by an overrated Missouri St team twice, and lost to Bradley twice. Beating us 3 times does not, in any way, add to their resume. Yes they did beat Loyola twice, but they were simply a good matchup. Again, just my opinion. I think they only 2 teams that deserved to be in a meaningful tourny, got invites in Loyola and Northern Iowa.

Drake was a bubble NIT team - they had a decent case but not an overwhelming one. That said, Loyola was "simply a good matchup." Not buying that argument. Does that mean Bradley was "simply a bad matchup"?

No problem with you thinking that; just think it's unfair to dismiss (or minimize) two wins over a very good Loyola team as it simply being a good matchup.

Steve Prohm is available, not sure he's going to get a big job after what he did at Iowa State. But Murray might want to keep it internal and hire one of McMahon's guys. They've already been recruiting to an MVC level and above that.

Funny how these guys take these jobs in a corrupt conference like the SEC . Of course it isn't about the money 🤑 Not sure he is a good coach but he can recruit so he should fit in very nicely at LSU, problem is it will take more than just recruiting to win in the SEC. Mc Mahon won't make it long at LSU no one does but he will get a fat pay check while he is there.

Exactly my opinion. McMahan's stock is as high as it would ever have been since he would have actually had to compete to win in this conference. Smart move by him to cash in now.
