I would say embarrassing, but it is not totally out of the question to see this team struggle at times, years, and now over a decade.
Any time SIU makes you feel good about the program, they follow it up with something that makes you go "oh yeah, we're never turning the corner". Been that way for over a decade.
Well SIU has a shot here because of missed free throws. Will be interesting to see what they draw up here.
Pretty much every team in every sport in America can say the same thing though, that's just sports. Everyone has bad games.I would say embarrassing, but it is not totally out of the question to see this team struggle at times, years, and now over a decade.

Totally agree.

Disagree, SIU has been fluttering around a mediocre program since Lowery left. They can't turn that corner. No Sunday games in Arch Madness under Barry or Bryan, it's embarrassing. Even Valpo has done that.

Been over a decade.
Awful. Embarrassing. Don't say it's not, please.
(Inflammatory political snark)
How does Ebube not play a single minute? Let's be honest, this game is not as important as conference games and you still lost anyway so why not get the guys in who you will need later in the season.
Good night all.
That was about a big of a turd as could be dropped.

Oh don't get me wrong, i agree with you. I guess I'm not as disappointed as you because i hadn't started to believe we had turned a corner yet. Sure we were winning games at home. But I'm not so sure this team can win a road game. That game at Indiana State was brutal. Thats been our only game on the road so far. I'm expecting a blowout loss at Wichita State too honestly. Until they prove they can win a road game, we are at best a 10-10 team in the valley.Pretty much every team in every sport in America can say the same thing though, that's just sports. Welp, THAT sucked. I'm getting flashbacks to Troy Hudson's last year, where the whole team is pretty much relying on one person to win the game, so it's a lot of standing around on offense while the one scorer you've got has to do everything.
And if we're gonna have to rely on X every single time, like this season has turned into, it'll be the same ugly losses like tonight.
BM wouldn’t know what to do with a big man if Shaq was at the end of the bench
We made 1 or 8 threes second half.
We shot 31%. XJ had 31 points.
They made 6 of 12 threes. They shot 47%.
They just outplayed us 2nd half and were quicker overall. Quick teams (like Indiana St.) are going to be a problem for us, and if we shoot poorly and don't play great D, we are going to lose.
Disappointing loss, but AP isn't that bad. They could beat a lot of MVC teams IMO.
Coach Mullins has a tendency to go small when the advantage of being bigger is actually working. This game is on him. Also, he has to find a breather for X so that he is not playing 40 minutes a game. The time that Miller was in he came in at the 2 and should have given X a breather.
