Glad to hear Kill followed up on an e-mail and appears to be taking in the feedback. As was previously stated, if he doesn't fire the little huckster then I'll criticize. I honestly like what Kill has done with the coaching changes thus far. There's unfinished business on this front....so let's see how it goes.
Every time there is a game of importance with Hinson as our head coach, it is followed up by a severe ass whoopin. He has never ever built momentum with this program. If he doesn't have that string of wins towards the end of last season, this asshole would not be here.
Email call send letters. IF Kill has any chance to save this program he needs to hear from the fans . Hinson must go

The emails did not overrule the good ole boys in March and I highly doubt they do much now

I will believe Kill fires Barry Hinson when it actually happens. Jerry's reputation would take a big hit if he lets stupid Hinson stick around again even if he gets a cheap NIT bid. Ugh.
Wrong the Emails were sent to weak ass Bell and Bell had three Years to make a change but didn’t. At the end Bell let Hinson win . I know you are a great fan Barkeep our only hope is to tell Kill Hinson has to go . Kill is the AD NOW he knows BB has to win at a high level . This madness has to end .
I disagree. I think when you listen to Kill you can hear in his voice that he has already had enough. Baring a run at Arch Madness I think Barry is gone. I have no actual information but everything Kill talks about how important winning in basketball is you can see the writing on the wall. Connect the dots. If Barry cannot win with this team, he never will. It does not take a genius to see this and I think Kill gets that too. I just cant see him surviving this year without winning at Arch Madness.

No more than 1 or 2 is sufficient.
Be polite too.

agreed. I have only emailed once after the Murray State game. I was extremely polite and Kill responded. I will likely send another at seasons end, as I think everyone should make their voices heard at that time again.

Make your voice heard by not buying tickets and not attending games.

This has always been a huge dilemma for me.... I want to make my voice heard like that, but I can't. I'm sorry for whatever that makes me. I love going to SIU basketball games. It gets me through my weeks, something to look forward to. I have been going for 20+ years to every game. through Lowery and now Hinson. I support the team, I support the players, and in turn I understand I am supporting Hinson. I am not going to stop buying my season tickets. No extra donations though.
I know that sounds goofy, but it is what it is. I have thought about it a lot, but good or bad I enjoy coming to games and attending the MVCT.
Hey Saluki4Life,
Your position is yours. And all should be able to respect it. I have chosen not to attend any games. I had gone to see the dogs at least a couple of times every year for 40 years. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. Just my way.
I believe the reason my destain for Chester Cheetos seems to grow with every game is rooted in how I feel about not attending. Or for that matter, even if I were to attend I would still feel like shinola. I HATE FEELING LOUSY ABOUT THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM. I want to feel good about it again. I want to, once again, follow the schedule and know when all the games are. AND TO BE EXCITED ABOUT THEM. Not to feel like I do now with Chester $@?/*^& Cheestos at the helm. I HATE THIS HOPELESS FEELING.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

I'm with you. Even though I like attending the games the feeling of meaninglessness is always there. I just like attending games for my own personal entertainment value. Big picture though, I always feel that. That's why I wish I could be okay with just not going. I understand that long term it would make a bigger difference. But when Wednesday night or Saturday rolls around I will inevitably want to be hanging out at SIU arena watching college basketball. Its given me the chance to see many top 25 teams, a final four team, future NBA players, etc... I am with you though, I hate this feeling.
