One sentence in particular jumped out at me, "Our inability to advance to postseason corresponds with our strength of schedule and record against Top 100 teams." You think? DUHHHHH! I'm very interested to see if TB actually does step in and make the non-conference harder. I'm not optimistic.

I want some of whatever drugs Tommy is taking. Loyola will likely be a top 10 team (assuming they can get a couple big teams on the schedule) all year and will only lose 1 maybe 2 games in conference play. How does Tommy think we win the conference or get an at large bid with our weak scheduling?

I think given what most of the fan base knows he’s trying to imply it’s that or bust (i.e. Hinson is gone otherwise). Also another interesting note was that he mentioned major gifts for men’s basketball so it sounds like Cook went for the carrot rather than the stick.
I know everyone says it's NCAA for him next year or he's gone. I guess I'm just losing confidence in that. If not this year, why next year?
Hinson apologists are in full force in the media, and we all know that's not going change anytime soon.

Or is Tommy Bell basically telling all Saluki fans and Barry that this is your chance to make the postseason and win a conference or else your done. Seems that way to me by basically laying out that we have all the resources necessary to be relevant. No excuses is how I took his newsletter. Seems to me that he just turned the hot seat up.
And did he basically tell Cook to put his money where his mouth is? Im curious to see what generous basketball donations Bell is referring to?
It’s a year too late for the NCAA or bust banner to be flown. If we do make the NCAAs it will be short term gain and another long term slog as 2019-2020’s roster is very grim.
I am much more interested in the sustainability of the program and not just a one year in ten flash in the pan.
