I am sure that Kill is going to increase the budget for Men's Basketball. Starting with an increase in the new coach and his staff. Also, the private schools tuition is higher so that increases the amount of money spent on scholarships for them. It would be interesting to see what the difference in budgets are IF you take that out. However IF SIU wants to compete at a higher level that budget has to reflect that.
Will a new coach make more than Barry Hinson does? Either way I do expect the budget to increase under Kill. It seems like he has done a wonderful job fundraising so far and a new coach should generate more money in ticket sales and donations.

He needs to increase revenue to increase the budget.

SIU has established what it will pay for chronic mediocrity with Coach Hinson.

Kill and SIU are selling bricks with your name and sport you played and years. $1000.00 I have not heard number that have been sold
How much many do the tickets bring in less the cost to open the arena?

I'm surprised the PAC 12 budgets are that low given the distances they have to travel.

A few years ago, most people on this board's predecessor were clutching their pearls and retiring to their fainting couches at the thought of lowly Loyola being invited to join the MVC. In a few years, we're going to be begging them to stay. 😛
(Inflammatory political snark)
Isn't it funny how much national attention Creighton and Wichita got when the were in the Valley and now that they they joined the big conferences you hear little about them. Loyola got way more national attention last year than those two. Kind of ironic.
Top three are all no-football schools. Big difference, as it was with wichita and creighton.
We just went through a rebrand, very expensive. That means new everything from letterhead to uniforms to floor decals, banners, signage, etc across umpteen sports.
Bluster and barbeque don't win championships.

I still clutch pearls because I remember when The Valley was more than a one bid league and SIU Arena was rocking.

Creighton attendance 2017/2018
Creighton averaged 17,000 fans per home game last season, good for fifth-best nationally.
Last year was the 13th straight season that CU has been among the nation's top 25 in average home attendance, and the seventh straight season in the top-10 nationally in attendance, as well.

Creighton is about to get a whole lot more national attention. Bunch of crooks.
