Anyone know where AJ Ferguson was today? Not that he would’ve played, but I didn’t even spot him dressed or on the bench. Was he at Murray the other night? Hoping it’s just illness or a family issue and not him leaving the program. Sorry if it was mentioned already and I missed it.
6-0 since Rupert has been starting.
Thought the booing was lame even if it was at the refs. Think it was some of both. Only time I’d consider booing the team was the end of Lowery

Nobody covers the team unfortunately
Ferguson was ill. That is why he was not dressed and on the bench at todays game.
Haven't been keeping up with the Dawgs on the daily since my job has me covering a Big 12 team, but was able to watch this one today. Outstanding second half. Loved seeing the Arena full.
Proud Saluki, living and working in Kansas State territory. 🤔
Couple items about today:
1) SIU seemed to win this game due to depth. AND taking care of the boards in the second half. We like to complain about Mullins’ rotations and PT, but I think he actually did well today. He had two separate sets WITHOUT Jones or Domask (I know he’s done this before), and I think these rotations greatly benefit the team. Somebody has to step up in that rotation. It seems like Banks, D’Amico, Brown, Wonders get a little gun shy when they’re on the floor with the leaders (Jones/Domask). Guys gotta start playing with confidence and believing they can take the open shot. TDA seems like he isn’t real comfortable with the ball right now.
2) That felt like an old SIU win. Team pulling away in the second half. Lot more guys contributing. We have a pretty deep team. The next thing is honestly confidence. Guys believing in their feel for the game. Trusting their instincts. Still some hesitation and differing taking place.

Oh, and also really great to see Muila step up. He will improve his play by an easy 50% just by CATCHING THE BALL. Too many fumbled passes. Somebody get him some stickum! 😆 😆

win is a win
All in good fun of course, but I like to imagine the few Belmont fans in attendance (probably parents, right behind the bench) having their own Wizard of Oz moments a few times during the day - “I’ve a feeling we’re not in the O-V-C anymore!” 😉
win is a win
This was a good win. Got a bit lucky to not be down by more in the first half but the second half was dominant, especially on defense. Need to knock down 3’s to beat Drake.

I thought Mullins did a great job of coaching tonight, even though we were down at half, I could see his strategy was to attack and try to score in the paint, make Belmont play defense, not just bomb 3's. 2nd half siu really pressured the ball like the old floorburn u days, been a long time since I've seen defense like that. The rotations were solid and consistent, I like the jd and Rupert rotation, seemed like we wore them down, siu had fresher legs at the end
