AJF is still showing a bit of rust on D, but his offense is already looking like it was earlier in the year. When he gets back to 100% in game shape, I really like what he offers the starting lineup. That being said, I can't see why he and Davis can't play at the same time (if only for short periods).
Because Trent plays 40 minutes.
How about the team going 23-24 from the FT line? The team record for FTs without a miss in a game is 17, so they were one short of smashing that record tonight.

Thanks to XJ!!! 😀 Only 12 of 13..sad
Now, on to Il State, We might finish above .500 in league play if we can prove we can win a road game. Need to get our first there.
Great Win! Fought hard, and picked up the defensive intensity when needed. Belmont averaged 81 points per game, both in wins and losses. Held them to 63. Scottie should be POG. Brown, Johnson, AJ, Troy, and Big C early all chipped in with big plays.
10-4 Overall
2-1 MVC
Here’s hoping that one made Rupert 3 (needed to take it at end of shot clock) doesn’t cost a bunch of ill-advised jacks in coming weeks. 😆

by 30 or more would be nice - they're losing at Drake by 25
MEMO to Whine & Jeez club: Mullins just said Scottie has been sick this week.

BM with good things to say about Ebube:
Scottie's been sick this week...he's been coming in, putting in extra work, happy for him
Watson talking about how big Trent Brown was tonight?? Really have to wonder what goes thru RW's head sometimes.
BM's reply: he played 40, we're a better team defensively when he's in
(TB played good D for the most part. Offensively, didn't contribute much.)
Good things happened with Ebube in the game.
Good to have AJ back.
Oh. And Ebube.
(Inflammatory political snark)

I'd just settle for any road win in the Valley, especially in Abnormal
Yep - they'll be up for it and it won't be an easy place to play. Hopefully we shoot better than tonight.
Guy played great D, had three steals, and numerous other deflections that caused turnovers or breaks up plays. Had 7 pts 3 rbs 3 assists. Pretty solid night really.BM with good things to say about Ebube:

I think Trent's been having some good games lately despite the lack of scoring. I would for sure start AJ next game in place of Kennard as much as I like Davis because you need more scoring in your starting lineup if you're going to have Troy and Trent starting.
Kennard's defense has been great this year and he's been good from outside. He really needs to improve his interior game this offseason. He has the athleticism to be a really good finisher.
