Aaron Cook is my current favorite player for many reasons, including his decision to stay here. That being said, I've made it no secret that I think this kid is going to be a difference maker next year. He can shoot from DEEP, hit a mid range jumper or even play inside so alone he would be a big help. But adding him to Domask on the other side, along with the other youngster, I think this team is going to surprise many next year.

I agree, I'm excited about Harvey. Domask is already difficult enough to guard, now you're gonna throw in another forward that can stretch the floor and knock down shots. That's gonna be hard for teams to defend.
If Mullins and staff can find the right impact big(s) to compliment Harvey and Domask at the forward positions, next years team and beyond will have a chance to be pretty darn good.
The key is to not be satisfied in finding just one player with good size and athleticism that's ready to contribute to plug into Benson's spot, but to sign some additional depth there as well. To this point, Benson has been as advertised, if not more. What's really killing this team is lack of depth and physicality in the paint.
I'm trusting the process. I'm sure Mullins is fully aware of what this team needs and is working his ass off to acquire it.

I have been told by someone who is at practice every day that Harvey is an absolute DOG and gives the team work in practice. Also said to me "you are going to absolutely love him."
looking at his highlight video it is apparent that Harvey has never met a shot he didn't like and his range is remarkable. For an offensively challenged team he looks to be a great fit and also has good size. I don't believe we should forget Karrington Davis either. Brighter days are ahead and I look forward to what develops over the balance of this season as well.
I would love it if, during the off-season, if he could put on about 4-inches.

Saluki Insider? I barely know her!
I got to admit that I have been sneaking a sip or three. Trees on the 30th will be a good test.
Mike Reis audio interview with Ben Harvey:

What's his background and how on earth did Eastern Illinois land a player this good??
They landed Mike Shanahan, Sean Payton, Tony Romo, and Jimmy Garroppolo!

Late on this but was reading through the 2020 recruiting thread and forgot I had posted this article on Ben Harvey before he transferred here. Basically Eastern was the first to offer him and others came in later (including Pat Monaghan's Wisconsin-Milwaukee, thus the SIU connection now):
