gang,
i am meeting today wth jaheem webber, and will post a very well written story afterwards. thought it might be fun if we opened the floor here for questions, and i will have jaheem read them from the web page.
so ask away. bob.
1. What was the reason you chose SIU over the other schools that were targeting you?
2. What is your current expectations of playing time in your first year?
3. What are your personal goals, as they relate to basketball, for your first year and career at SIU?
4. How much did the NIL play a role in your overall recruitment?
Lastly, please allow me to thank you for choosing SIU. I think you will find that we are incredibly passionate (perhaps to a fault at times) about our team. Just know, we want ALL our players to succeed and WIN. Good luck to you - I hope you are happy with your decision to come here. I know I am !!!
I’m sure you are already asking this in some form or fashion, but just in case, what factors went in to the decision to de-commit from Wright State and follow Coach Naggy?
In high school, having a size advantage is great for production, but sometimes bigger athletes don't get to work on their ballhandling, shooting, and passing as much as the guards do. How were you able to round out your skillset in the high school game and avoid a reliance on just being able to overpower the opponents? Have you talked to the coaching staff about what they believe are the areas that have the biggest need for development? And since your high school season ended, what kind of improvements have you made that the coaching staff will be seeing in person soon? Thanks for being a Saluki.
Who was his favorite player growing up and who does he model his game after
Why didn’t he pick siu when we recruited him before. Why now?
I thought S4L was the one who needed a brain 🙂
Does he have any older friends who are experienced point guards that happen to be in the portal?
