I don't have a problem with not taking a timeout there, by the time you called it you would have maybe 3 seconds left to go the full length of the court, you wouldn't have ended up with anything better than the shot they got.
I am highly disappointed in whatever you call what Jones did today. He was so piss poor Mullins benched him. It takes a lot of piss poor play for a coach to bench one of his stars in the biggest game in 15 years. Pretty sure he is in the shithouse right now.

Welp, it saves me a trip to UIC next weekend, as the MVC title chase is dead and gone. It also officially kills any NIT berth, as the NET rating's far too low for any at-large shot.
So that means either win it all in St. Louis to get to the NCAA tourney, or lose there and ensure no NCAA or NIT for the 15th straight year.

Avoiding thursday doesn't matter anymore. Only prayer at postseason this team had was winning the regular season and playing in the NIT. Call me mr pessimistic, but i don't see any way we beat Bradley or Drake in the Lou, so there is basically no chance at winning the tournament.

What made that play so memorable and spectacular is that it actually worked. That play is used hundreds of times in college basketball every year, and works a handful at best.
