Was hoping to see more of AJ tonight. He’s fun to watch.

Marcus was playing hurt after he went down under the basket. He was limping visibly. We played hard this game.

Another game where Domask and Jones are your only players in double figures, scoring 36 of the team's 63 points. There's also the lingering problem of turnovers - 14 more tonight.
It's a W, but that's all this one is, as Chicago State is about as bad a D-1 team as it gets. That school has seen a grand total of one winning season since 1986. I'm honestly surprised the college hasn't dropped the program.
Next game - another cupcake comes to town, as it's another SWAC team on the slate - Alabama A&M is currently 359th out of 363 D-1 teams in RPI. Heck, they make Chicago State look good. 😉
Turd of a game. Glad we won, blah-blah.
Glad I didn't bother going (again).

JD made a FT!! He was beaten a lot on D and for rbs. Definitely not quite with it yet.
Domask should have never come back after that ankle sprain - wasn't necessary IMO.
Mullins, Banks, Rupert with the media:
Hard to believe my Cubbies actually went 39-31 after the All-Star break... of course they haven't made a huge splash in free agent signings yet (Bellinger and Taillon are OK, but no wow factor for either one).Chicago State lost on the road to 2-6 Bethune Cookman... by 13 points. And they're beating the Dawgs right now.
I wish I could say there's a decent Chicago pro team I could get distracted by right now... but the Bears are dead last in the NFC, the Blackhawks are dead last in the NHL, and the Bulls are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
Tough to be a Saluki fan in Chicagoland right about now.
You forgot to say the Cardinals pounded the Cubs this year! LOL
Dansby should help your mood!

It's a start but I still think the Cubs are going to stand pat of the most part this season with eyes on competing more seriously in 2024 & beyond. We shall see..................... I remain cautiously optimistic.
