I’m sad about no Spradlin but I think he was gonna be out the door possibly in a year anyways. Doesn’t seem like a guy that’s gonna be in the mid-major ranks for long.
Wonder what's going on with Calhoun. Seemed like he was our man for a while Sunday. Also seems like he now may be out of the mix at Duquesne.
BM to Drake and NO Schertz to SLU? If InSt pull that off.....
Maybe he likes the relative lack of pressure in Terrible Haute? And I bet InSU came up with a big raise.
Conwell, Swope, Avila, Bledson, Kent, Larry can all come back if no transfers. Could be decent next year.
SPeaking of Calhoun, there's some nice youtube videos of him running practice at YSU..

In other Southern Illinois news. You guys are coming up on a blackout from the sun. Have to add a little bit of levity to this coaching process.
I'm renting my house out for no less than $2000. I'll sleep on the damn sidewalk outside for what some of these astronomy, space geek yahoo's are willing to pay.
saw a tweet yesterday, it was retweeted by Mike Reis, that Indiana State was planning on having north of 300,000 to spend next year in NIL money. If that’s the case, that could be an incentive to stay for sure.BM to Drake and NO Schertz to SLU? If InSt pull that off.....

SLU was reportedly offering him in the neighborhood of $2M a year, I wonder what Indy ST. can come up with, salary wise....saw a tweet yesterday, it was retweeted by Mike Reis, that Indiana State was planning on having north of 300,000 to spend next year in NIL money. so those in the know. Where do we stand on NIL monmey for athletics?
Schertz would be crazy not to jump ship.
(I admit I say this with some hope; I don’t want him in the same conference as SIU.)
Maybe he's getting an even bigger offer than SLU. In my opinion he is one of the best candidates out there!Schertz would be crazy not to jump ship.

There are rumblings that USC might open with Enfield going to SMU possibly. I wonder if Schertz loves LA?

Some good jobs remain open and he would be a fine candidate for any of them. On the other hand, if he stays at ISU and manages to keep that team intact, they probably begin next season in the top 25 as the overwhelming favorite to win the MVC. Seems like a win-win for him.

Totally. And even if ISU ponies up, I wouldn’t think he’d be satisfied with essentially needing to win Arch Madness to be assured of making the tournament.
