I'm glad this is over if for no other reason than it gives those who have been spewing vitriol and hatred over the past few weeks an opportunity to possibly gain some perspective. I understand the anger over Mullins' firing, and also understand the frustration with this roller coaster ride of a coaching search. But if these are the worst things that will happen in certain people's lives, they're going to have pretty cushy lives. This wasn't terminal cancer, congestive heart failure, a debilitating stroke or a fatal car accident. Now, I'll get off my soapbox and join all Saluki fans in hoping that this hiring is a sign that better days are ahead.
I’m glad this is over, I’m looking forward to November!! Go Dawgs
Nagy's wikipedia page already lists him as SIU Head Coach.
A bit premature IMO, until Leonard introduces Nagy as our coaching savior to the elated & swooning masses at SIU Arena (remember, the official announcement is tomorrow...), this is just speculation.
Go Dawgs!
Well, i mean he resigned at wright state and they've already named his associate head coach as his successor. At least according to Wright States fan page, they said the team has already been informed their associate head coach is being promoted.Nagy's wikipedia page already lists him as SIU Head Coach.

@kiwiball did we ever get any players from the wolves?

@carrcar yes I believe Troy, Ebube, Benson a few years ago. There may be others but no off the top of my head.
Looks like Splintertoes is our new coach!

A crazy question to the posters who may know. Most of the coaches nowadays except for a few that are coaching nowadays, are doing so in a nice relaxed tops with the college logo on it. Was that the new normal after COVID
Or was it that they could not write off dry cleaning any more on their taxes?

It started with the COVID season. Probably a combination of no fans to dazzle in front of plus comfortability and then it just took off. Once a few coaches go back to the suit and tie, they'll all go back to the suit and tie one by one because no one wants to be the odd man out.
Personally, I kinda like when the whole bench suits up, but I'll admit that it's so much more comfortable to coach - well, just move, in general - in some khakis and a pullover.

Coaching attire relaxed after Covid….NBA even got rid of coaching dress requirements.
