@insaluki this was more prevalent in EVERY game I watched, not just Saluki ball.
I had an employee once tell me (after a needed improvement discussion).....well so and so also made the same mistake(s). I told them my recommendation was for them to concentrate on improving their own performance vs being concerned about others.
@insaluki That was not my point.
I'm thinking in the offseason there was a review of the points of emphasis for referees in-game.
Those points of emphasis can come from auditing of game films, and it may be the case where there were a lot of missed out of bounds calls as such.
Still, do need to adapt and be aware of the lines 😝
You need to add another name to your two person list.@dunkledog it’s like anything else. Every one has an opinion. The only 2 people that know, are the AD and the person selected.
IMHO.
don't want to step on anyone’s toes. 🤔 so I will just leave it very vague and neutral. 😉
Could we have a Spradlin announcement Friday afternoon? Or we looking at probably Monday?
Assuming they lose, and probably badly, vs the Illini on Thursday afternoon.
Supporter of the Fab 4: Scottie Ebube, Foster Wonders, AJ Ferguson & Cade Hornecker.
They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
Sorry, duplicate post.

I don't think they are going to lose badly. I think the game will be competitive.Could we have a Spradlin announcement Friday afternoon? Or we looking at probably Monday?

IF Spradlin is the guy and assuming Morehead loses tomorrow, a logical timeframe would be a Friday press release announcing the hiring and probably a press conference in Carbondale early next week.
Time is certainly of the essence with 10sh open scholarships to fill, a staff to assemble, etc.
Spradlin's press conference from today: he discusses Morehead's style of play, navigating the portal, and obviously the challenge against UIUC tomorrow. No questions about his future.
The good news: he comes across as sharp, confident and likable. The bad news: he either has a bit of a cold or a drug problem ... lots of sniffing. 😆

In our game against E-ville, Dan Muller said he'd never seen so many calls for random stepping out of bounds as he'd seen this year after an E-ville player was whistled for it. And sure enough, not two minutes later, X did it.
The point is that it wasn't just an SIU thing or some deficiency in Mullins. As Foxman says, probably a change in points of emphasis.
(Inflammatory political snark)

Gonna be interesting to see if he can make a successful jump from the OVC to the MVC but if he’s indeed the guy, I feel really good about the hire. Just the way he talks feels like a guy that’s gonna have a lot of success wherever he goes.
yeah, it’s happened a lot really the last couple years ever since they moved the three point line back, there just isn’t much room between those lines on a lot of floors now.@insaluki That was not my point.

Okay then. Even more reason in my opinion to make a concerted effort to avoid it. I did not see any improvement throughout the season. If the refs were making it a point to call it, then adjust or improve. I'm hoping the next coach has that ability or thought process vs just accepting it.
@sandman95 more like dean siu from mvc fans lol
