Say for instance we hire a guy that doesn’t meet any of these qualities. Say we hire a guy whose name was dropped as the guy at the top of a wish list….even before the coach was fired. Put this on top of probably over half the people not wanting Mullins to be fired…put this on top of a total rebuild where more than likely going to have to endure a rough season or two.
It might just be me being a conspiracy theorist….but it won’t look good on the administration.
The longer this goes the more it feels like we might get okey doked. Hopefully I’m wrong…..so yes I feel there could be a wrong hire from the get go.
PS I’m really impartial to the Mullins firing. Get the reasons why he got canned but also aren’t as anti Mullins as some of you. Just want this to be a SIU hire and not a chancellor’s guy hire.
