Bryan had to go if not willing or able to have some level of post season success. If you fire your coach I would hope there would be a “right” guy on the list of names. Yes I think there could have been a name on the list i would consider the right guy….appears to have taken his name out of consideration and now we are scrambling. If you question if there was a “right” guy on the list we might need to look at that administration.
I personally do not think we are scrambling. It's an open job, there are going to be ones who don't get the offer / turn it down.

I do think the longer this goes on the less likely we will get a higher quality coach than Mullins.

As I write this it's not yet 8 a.m. Central time, so still early in the day. A brief announcement could come at any time, unexpectedly, with an introductory news conference a day or so later. Let's see where today takes us.

Maybe (probably?) not, but why do you say that? It’s 8:00 in the morning. I can’t imagine an announcement being made that early if there were to be one.
