Potentially getting a Bracketbusters like scheduling event for all of college basketball
Here's how the first-of-its-kind concept would work: For one week in February, a slew of leagues would pause their conference schedules and instead have all their members play two nonconference opponents. The model would have every team involved play one home game and one away game, with the majority of those games happening three days apart — many on Wednesday and Saturday — with the window commencing after Valentine's Day.

I like it! Especially having it determined by an algorithm, which should theoretically take bias out of it.
I like this approach. Valley teams in December for whatever reason don't fare well against non-conference foes or as a conference play at .500 overall. When Valley season starts the teams become more battle tested as the year progresses. March Madness entries in the recent past have shown impressive results despite seeds ranging from 9-13. Hopefully the Valley teams can excel in February if this model goes forward!
