All I’m going to say is #1 should be hanging at the arena.

i was at that 2004 game along with many of you, and i have a lasting memory.  as i left the building with my two small children who wanted to hurry to quatros, i looked back over my shoulder one final time, and there was brooks, on the ladder, cutting down the nets.  like barkeep's father, there was another old man with tears in his eyes.

thanks to barkeep and darren for doing this.  these types of stories are exactly what we long for as fans.

I would like to point out. The terror of Grey Dog was not made up. My son was terrified every time it walked past us at that game. 🤣

Does anyone have that Iconic picture of Brooks from the back, post game signing autographs surrounded by fans?  His #1 jersey really standing out.

Well I had Dinner with the bobber the other night and he was flirting with my girlfriend all night.  Something about out kicking my coverage 🤣

nah I will leave the love stories to the Bobber 

Enjoyed the article, Barkeep.  I wish so badly we all had ESPN+ back then. 

We all missed mostly all of the road games.  Can’t even imagine what it would have been like to watch all the games during the good ole days. 

I would have liked to have seen him be a coach here at some point.
