The article puts his time at SIU and relationship with Mullins in a good light. Sounds like there really aren't any hard feelings and good relationships remain. Wish him success in the future. He is a very solid young man!
@resaluki-88 I agree. It is a nice article. I wish him success in everything he does but I hope Illinois loses every game.
I do not harbor any ill feeling whatsoever toward Marcus, Lence, et al. It is pie-in-the-sky to assume that a kid in their early 20's would not jump at a chance to get a six figure sum thrown at them. However, following their progress going forward would be about as much fun as tracking your hot ex-wife who married some rich dude as they follow the Yellow Brick Road. Count me out.

Saw this on the Field of 68 site this morning. It is a summary of the Illini’s first game in the Spain trip. I am not sure if Domask played or not. He has been bothered by a hamstring injury this summer. The part of the post about the team’s three-point and free throw shooting should bode well for him.
Panic time in Champaign? The final outcome of the Illini’s game against the Madrid All-Stars, an 84-73 win, won’t necessarily worry their fans. But the shooting splits might. Illinois shot just 3-for-25 from beyond the arc and 17-for-31 from the charity stripe in its Spain tour opener. This comes a season after the team hit 30.8% of its 3s — a number that ranked 335th in the country.
On the bright side, Dain Dainja looked ready to build off of his solid 2023 campaign. He scored 16 points and grabbed 15 boards in 19 minutes.
I saw something that said Domask was injured and did not play.
I really wonder if Domask can last a full Big Ten season. Doesn’t seem like he’s going to get close to the minutes he got at SIU so that’s a plus but SIU really ran him hard for 4 years (really 3.5 with his foot injury). He really looked in pain by Arch Madness last year. Hope he does hold up though.
read the same, he did not play, hamstring. willing to bet illinois does not have a post season, maybe some weird overrated bid to the nit
I’m not following Illinois or Domask this season. Best of luck to Marcus. Looking forward to Domask’s induction into Saluki Athletics hall of fame.

Agree with you.
While I certainly wish MD well, I won't be following him, nor the team he is currently on. He'll be in the Saluki HOF for sure.
same, i have a buddy down here that is a big illini fan so i will be stuck watching half the time. ill be watching as much as i can with the espn plus package though, probably keep up with wofford and see if filoswish breaks the school record for three pointers there this year. pretty pumped about the dawgs on a serious note though, lot of talent and could be a surprise team in the valley
@tj-mcflys Do you not see the irony that you posted in a domask to illinois thread about domask and illinois, and said how you arent following either this year? lol
Respectfully, I said the same thing. There is a difference (IMO), however, between reading and/or replying to a post in SALUKI INSIDER vs. scouring the box scores of Illini games and "tracking him" to see how he did, which I personally will not be doing. In fact, while I certainly do NOT wish him ANY ill will, I am also not wishing him massive success either. The sad reality is, if both he and the other player who chose to leave SIU, have incredible years, do well in the tourny, etc. it will only encourage future players to do the same. I fully understand that is not the true 'high road' to take, but it is my honest thoughts/feelings.

What I find interesting is that you chose my post, out of so many on this very topic, to comment on. Rather idiosyncratic, don't you think?
Thank you for taking the time to read and reread my posts from months ago.
BTW: Illinois and Domask should both be capitalized. Perhaps a review of grammer skills would be beneficial. LOL!

This!
I checked their website to see how Mathis Besard (another traitor LOL) did in golf there this year. (3rd in the Big 10 championship and 1st team all-conference)
Domask hasn't played in their games due to to injury.
