I know it was said in a thread but it got swallowed up. I complained all year. I screamed and yelled for change. I promised money and renewing season tickets if change was made. Many of you did too. Many of you called for change. We got it. It is time to support. Not after a coach is hired. TODAY. Right now, big small, season tickets or whatever, go show your support. I gave today a small amount, I plan on giving small amounts on a regular basis when I can afford it, I promised, lots of you promised too. Be men of your words. Go Salukis!!!!
I am waiting on the new coach. I just have to be sure we are going in the right direction.
The fact that I just read Chris Lowery's name mentioned, no matter the source, I think I'll be waiting to see which direction SIU goes. Taking way too long to oust the aforementioned, last years fiasco 9th inning Barry Hinson save ... I'll never again underestimate SIU's ability to blunder a big decision. Agree with it or not, I don't care. I'm sitting on my wallet until I see who they hire.

Well, I donated to Saluki Insider today & want to say thanks guys for keeping this site going. Job well done to the admin. It's the only place I know where we can get good information & feedback about the current BB situation(s). Now, donating to SIU athletics is a different story. I will also be sitting on my wallet until Kill & the bunch prove that they can move the program forward from the last two dumpster fires. (Yes, Hinson did pull us out of the academic abyss but after that, he did what he was hired to do & should have been gone). If for some reason, Lowery is in the mix, that will put me over the edge & I'll be gone from any SIU support.
I have watched this whole drama play out. As a season ticket holder since 1972 (first as a student) I dropped my season ticket and did not donate to S.A.S.F. after last year. I did not watch 1 minute of S.I.U. Basketball this year.
I was at the S.A.S.F. office at the Arena today at 7:55 a.m. I renewed and increased my S.A.S.F. donation level from before, as well as getting my old season ticket back.
I have spoken and now just want to watch a new coach bring Saluki Basketball back from the abyss.

I don’t at all. Even if SIU was interested (they’re not), Lowery wouldn’t come back. He’s probably getting paid similar at K State.

You would probably have to wait until they go on sale and existing season ticket holders renew theirs. Then they will go on sale for new season tickets. Price of lower bowl tickets is $450 per seat....$200 donation for each seat to the scholarship fund, and $250 per seat. That price is not for the middle sections.

I don't run the athletic department. I will stand behind whoever they hire as long as they believe they got the best candidate. Who am I to say who the best candidate it? It won't be Lowery, don't be dumb.
I gave my word in numerous e-mails that I would renew and donate only if BH was not the coach. We usually donate in June and buy our season tiks then. I do hope it is Mullins. I know he has little experience but all bad and all great coaches have had little to no coaching experience at one time :). Can you all imagine the atmosphere next November at the first game if Mullins is our coach. I dare say there would be 4,000 fans in attendance. This would last all year long imo. He would get an extended time/honeymoon phase more than most hires. I'm very interested and excited about seeing who he can recruit.

4,000 is a low end estimate in my opinion.... If there is a halfway decent home game on the non con schedule I would hope to find a way to get 5k plus in there.
If Mullins is our guy, you will see an immediate impact. Things will start to turn around very quickly and the fan base will be reignited. Also, the players will love playing for Bryan. The dude's all genuine, driven to succeed and likable as hell. People feed off that kind of energy.
