I think it's safe to say that a lot of fans will return.
I don't think I'm alone in this: I watched two games and parts of another couple ALL. SEASON. I just stopped caring about anything other than BH's departure, and for the most part, I would forget we were even playing. I was in Carbondale over Xmas and couldn't be bothered to get in the car and go one mile to the Arena to watch the Winthrop game (really glad I didn't see that debacle). My interest will definitely return no matter who the next coach is.
