SIU shoots 38% from the field in the first half and gets saved by some poor FT shooting by the Aces.
Filewich utilizes his space footwork around the basket so well like Krutwig, gonna rise to elite status in valley early on.
One minor gripe I've had so far is Mullins not trusting guys with 2 fouls in the first half. Maybe the back to backs have something to do with the decision making here but I don't think sitting Harvey for a long stretch is really helpful.

we are deep enough this year that i don't think we lose too much sitting a guy. If we didn't have the depth, then id agree, but why take a chance?
Really ugly end to the half here for SIU. Gonna need adjustments in the 2nd half. Get Trent Brown more involved.
Hate to complain with a 9-point lead, but yeah. Our Freshmen are playing like Freshmen. Looking forward to a more convincing second half effort.

I think they really could have used Harvey down the stretch that half when things were going bad, I don't think it's the end of the world if he got a 3rd foul. But now he'll be more rested for tomorrow so maybe that's an advantage.
I’m enjoying seeing Jones drive to the boards and finishing strong. Then the next possession he gets a foul.
Charge on JOnes, his 3rd. Could have easily been his 4th as the one drive prior looked like a charge as well. Need Banks to come in and make good choices !!
Newton is a good defender but any sort of contact he's flying like a missile hit him. Not sure how they keep calling that.
These offensive fouls are bullshit, these are obvious flops the refs are giving them
