Anybody have any ideas on how many season tickets were sold this year? I know I've heard terms such as "significant increase," but I'd be curious to know how many that actually means.
It was at approximately 3100 back in early September.
I think that with the work that SIU has done to get the students more involved in the DawgPound, there should be some pretty good crowds this year.

Another good move was to move the students next to the Band...Now we need to have the band play more (and different songs).

YES. And maybe not just copy what every other band in the land does. How about some creativity, guys?

The student turnout has been quite impressive for football this fall and the exhibition game, especially considering the much smaller pool of kids to draw from than 10-20 years ago. Kudos to all involved.
And, no offense, students might not be as discerning about level of non-conference opponents, so they might have to carry the crowd for some of those soft non-con home games, at least the ones they're in town for.
I don't doubt the region/community will turn out nicely for Valley games, especially if the optimism for the season comes to fruition.
