A walk on at Lindenwood. Woof…
I’m wondering if they were out of scholarships when Daddy got hired.

Speaking of Lindenwood going D-1/FCS, I heard a rumor we play them in football in 2025 in the "Dale.
March on triumphantly!
seems to me (to his detriment) Darius was more interested in his father's employment than he was his own college career.
Speaking of former players, did anyone go to the Saluki Tip-Off dinner last night?
Reis tweeted a photo of a bulletin that showed what I think were some of the alums who were in attendance, and if so, it was quite the lineup.

Tipoff dinner was great. Bruce Weber was the main guest along with Sly, JD,Kent , DB, Brad Korn and Jamal Tatum. Rodney Watson was the moderator of the conversations with the players and Coach Weber. Coach Mullins gave a great talk about Legacy and Tradition and the current players were there at the beginning and were introduced. Other former players were in attendance including Shane Hawikins, Lance Brown and Josh Warren. Tim Leonard spoke briefly as did Austin Lane and the President of the system Great night and I think the biggest one so far.
Love Bruce Weber's shirt!!! I so wanted us to beat Freighton last year and we were up with 3 minutes to go and then fell apart a bit on D, especially guarding their big guy - don't think that would happen this year.
After listening to the interview With coach Weber it sounds alot what Mullins is trying to do now so if it worked once why shouldn't it work again also it seems Weber had the same scheduling problems that Mullins faces now build it and they will come

It was interesting to listen to the interview in that context. Not to be a downer, but a couple differences between eras are the broader challenges the university has these days with finances/enrollment, and Weber highlighted the big-time staff he had … not the norm for three assistants to go on to become head coaches, including having a guy like Painter onboard.
I like Mullins’ assistants and wish them all great careers but that is a high bar and they all will have to prove themselves.
Very cool for Weber and the former players to come back for this event. It’s good for the fans and the current coaches and players to feel that connection.
@salukiworld wish him well and great success in his future hopefully his health problems are behind him
